What is Google Cash Detective 2?
Google Cash Detective 2 is a software program that was invented by the highly successful marketer, Chris Carpenter. Chris describes it as a competitive intelligence tool. What the tool does is help locate profitable adword campaigns as fast as possible and use the informaion the tool provides you to create your own adwords marketing campaigns.
The tool seaches on keywords and website urls and is able to use wildcard entries to expand your search results. Chris claims that this tool is completely different to any other adwords spy tool available as it utilies 2.5 million keywords in it’s database and it crawls 20 million websites every day. These numbers will also increase over time.
It Can Look For Affiliate Links
The tool allows you to check affiliate links on the net using direct linking from adwords then you can check that link’s keywords. You can spy on your competition and see statistics like how many times that keyword is searched a month, when the ad first appears in adwords, when it was last seen. Out of those total days, how many days it was live on adwords and it’s average position in adwords and what they are paying per click.
From this information, you can glean if this ad has been profitable or not anSd provides you with a profitability index. The profitability index in the tool gives you a number on that particular ad. All search results are ranked from highest to lowest profitability index. The higher the number, the greater likelihood that that ad is profitable. You can determine that if an ad has been showing for a long duration and is continually in the top position, it is a profitable ad.
You can also see the different ads in a ad group to see what ads they have been split testing. Then once you find a profitable campaign, you can find that affiliates other profitable campaigns as well.
It Does Keyword Research
The tool can undertake keyword research and find the top keywords that have been searched on.
You can then dig into that keyword and find the top ads for that keyword and the destination urls, whether it is forwarded to a landing page, squeeze page or direct linking page. You can also see the other keywords a promoter is using in their campaigns.
Slideshow Feature
There is a slideshow feature that shows you the results of the landing pages of the 2.5 mill keywords. In the slideshow, you can can see the page the ad is directing too. This allows you to get a really good feel for that niche or any niche you want in the ppc industry. You can get a good feel for what is working and what is not working.
Affiliate Networks
Search Using Affiliate Networks URL Links
All affiliate networks have a few url’s that they use for all of the products in their product database. Using those url’s, you can search the database to find all of the direct links for that particular url. For instance, commission junction, one of the biggest networks has about 5 urls they use in their affiliate links. One of those is dpbolvw.net. You can input that into the detective using wildcards around the url and it will spit out all the links in it’s database that have that url in it. In those results, you will see the keywords that the affiliate is using in that link. When you click on the link, it will take you to the add in adwords and again, you can see all the information in that ad. Everything to determine if that ad is profitable or not.
So what does all this information do for you? Well, once you have located a profitable campaign, you can essentially copy it. It is advised that you don’t do it exactly, but you could write a similar ad, then you could create a landing page that the ad goes to the product page with your affiliate link. This information gives you roughly an 80% chance of creating a profitable campaign whereas before, you might have had to rely on luck and your chances may have been 10% chance of it being profitable.
The detective greatly increased your chances of creating successful campaigns. The GCD is the only tool available today that has the features that this has. There are some other spy tools available but none of them offer unlimited keywords, 2.5 million as it stands and growing every day. The detective crawls the keywords daily. So you are able to search the keyword, url, affiliate network and you are getting data from the last 3 months. With other tools, you enter your keywords and you have to wait up to a month or longer before you can get any data.
